The Swan Princess animated feature films has just released their 7th animated feature film. The owners felt that their main characters "Princess Odette" and "Prince Derek" had changed slightly over the seven films. They asked me to illustrate both of their main characters as they were originally designed in the first film of the series. They wanted to use the illustrations as model sheets for their future animators.

This task was a little challenging because they wanted their characters to smile so they could use them for other marketing purposes besides as model sheets for their animators. The challenging part was that in all the feature films, the characters never smiled because they were always wrapped in a drama. They did however kiss when they were happy. So I winged it and the owners of The Swan Princess properties were very happy with the results.
